1. What
do I have to do to prepare for a spa party in my
home?
All you have to do is arrange for food and
drinks for your guests. We bring everything we need, massage
tables, music, linens, and candles. The only thing you
might want to do is check with the coordinator to make
sure there is enough room in your home to accommodate your
party. If in doubt, request a location scout.

2. How
many guests do we have to have to schedule services
with I.M. Spa?
We do lots and lots of individual massages.
You don't have to have a party to have services in your
home. A basic guideline to follow is that your appointment
be at least one hour long. We cannot come out for a 10-minute
chair massage for one person. Also, men need to schedule
duet massages with their spouse or partner to ensure the
safety of our therapists.

3. I
want to have a party, but there are so many choices.
I don't see what I'm looking for on the menu.
Call or e-mail us. Every event we do is different,
and it is impossible to encompass what we do in a package.
If you have an idea of what you want to do and you don't
see your options on the menu, let us know. Chances are
we can put it together for you, or we can subcontract the
people who can. Or if you have budgetary or other restrictions,
we can custom-design a package just for your party.

4. Should I tip
my therapist?
It is customary to tip 15 to 20 percent.
We add a 17-percent gratuity to parties of six or more
guests.

5.
Will I be undressed getting on and off the treatment
table? How does that work?
We provide sarongs for guests to change into
in a private room and slip onto the table. Or if you have
private treatment rooms at your event, the therapist will
leave the room so that you can get on the table. All of
our therapists have been trained in professional draping.
You will not be exposed at any time. Also, if you are more
comfortable leaving your underwear on, that is perfectly
fine.

6. I'm coordinating
a party with my friends and don't have all the orders
in yet. How can I help them decide?
As the hostess you can choose, based on budget,
time, and space limitations, which treatments to offer
at your party. That will limit the field a little. Some
people like to have parties where everybody is getting
the same treatments and rotating through stations; others
like to let their guests order directly from our spa menu
and set up appointment times. If you'd like help with this,
please be sure to contact and state your concerns.
***Important*** Your guests need to
have their orders in at least a week, preferably two
weeks, in advance to insure that we have enough therapists
available for your event.

7. How
far in advance should I reserve a date for my event?
If you are just planning your weekly massage,
it is easier to get a therapist on short notice - within
days. But if you are planning something more complicated,
the sooner we nail down a date, the better. Evenings and
weekends are our busiest times, and they always fill up.
Make sure you get the date you want; call to reserve it
as soon as you know.
